We had decided that today would be our day to recharge so we did not plan to leave the campground. We made a leisurely breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs and didn't really get going at all until late morning. We explored the campground a bit, went for a short hike and then Brady wanted to swim in the Big Sur river. It was only about 63 degrees out but that doesn't deter a five year old! The rest of us only went into the water up to our knees, but Brady got completely wet.
After swimming we spent the remainder of the afternoon reading, playing cards and just hanging around. It felt good to spend a day like this. Tomorrow we drive the rest of the Pacific Coast Highway. I can't wait!
